This beautiful cabin that we refer to as"The Ponderosa," is located on the edge of the Kaibab forest, which provides our guests with a stunning view.
3 Bed, 2 Bath, Sleeps 8+
It has a full kitchen, 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms include 1 king & 2 queen beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots & pans. On the north & east sides of this relaxing retreat is the forest, along with a picnic table, BBQ grill & fire ring with patio chairs.We call it 'The Ponderosa' because it's surrounded by tall Ponderosa pines. Given that Arizona has the largest spread of this particular, highly desired tree in the U.S., we thought this title would be very appropriate. Looking east on a quiet evening, especially during a full moon, the Elk come in so close you can hear them pull the grass up. You may also hear the coyotes howling at night, in the far distance gathering up their pack.
We provide a TV & DVD player. Nature provides much more than we possibly could.
The Fireplace is decorative only.
Please note that there are five beautiful cabins on site that are different sizes. All are unique and beautiful. This provides the perfect opportunity to bring families and friends together for reunions or other events.
This is a No-Smoking property.
Pets are considered, however we asked that you keep "4 on the floor" as we say in our house. Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding. Also, please pick up after them outside. We usually allow one small to medium size dog. No vicious breeds. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. There is a $50 pet fee per dog.

We did have a little trouble with the lockbox, but we were trying to open the wrong one. We located the lock box on the front door and that one worked. I called and Mathew helped us out. He was great and very understanding.

I would say the best part of our stay was no wifi - I have a highly visible tech job and it was a wonderful reprieve not to be attached to technology even for a few days. It was nice to not worry about work and just relax.

Matt was exceptional when I called about no bedding, he had someone over before bedtime with some blankets for the air mattress. Unfortunately the air mattress went down in the night, by morning our son was nearly on the ground. IOur son ended up sleeping the other 4 nights on the couch. That wasn't the greatest for him, as his father was up at 6:00 am making coffee, so he really did't have a space to himself. We thought "sleeps 8" meant we would all have space. That should be clarified. Maybe a single mattress in the closet would have worked better for one person. He survived but I would have liked for him to have a bed.

The Ponderosa provided our family a perfect place to "get away" from the world for 5 nights. We enjoyed our time relaxing with walks in the wood, breakfast at the 66 station, hike at nearby KeyHole Canyon, a day at the Grand Canyon, fire while playing cards on the deck or table, and wonderful dining in Flagstaff. We cooked a delicious meal for our Christmas Eve, this was the perfect place for our family. Not too fancy, rustic enough to feel like we were far from the crowds.
The Ponderosa was cozy, clean, well stocked, and gave us all the comforts of home. The 20 mile trip out of busy Flagstaff was well worth the solitude we had while at the cabin.

We had a great time. There is a lot to see and plenty of things to do. Loved seeing the cows walk past the back yard in the evening. They even came by on the morning we were leaving to say goodbye. The cabin was so cute and cozy. The weather was perfect for the time we stayed. We would definitely like to come back and stay longer.

This is a very cozy cabin close to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Its located perfectly. Easy access to highway but quiet. Just a short walk to the corner store where you can have meals. My family loved it!

Our family had the best weekend getaway staying at the Ponderosa! We rented it to go to the Polar Express in Williams. The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was quite spacious and at the same time gave us that homey feeling. The cabin was clean, and had all the amenities. I had the pleasure of dealing with Tara. She was so knowledgeable about their properties and was very sweet and friendly. She answered all my questions and made renting the place so easy. I would definitely recommend this cabin as well as this rental company. Our family is already talking about going back! I will be renting from them again.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect location, not too far from Flagstaff or Williams, or the Grand Canyon. The house was exactly what we needed, very homey and cozy. Having the Parks in the Pines store within walking distance was great for things we forgot. Also, having the firepit made the property even better, the kids made s'mores and the adults relaxed around the fire after a day of exploring the Grand Canyon. Thanks !
